Great minds do not think alike. They seek and include the ones that differ – Amber Booth-McCoy

That’s Amber Booth-McCoy’s motto. She is the founder and CEO of a rising DEI consulting firm, The Diversity Booth. Her words of wisdom enlighten the organizations she partners with and serve as the starting point to reforming conscious and unconscious bias.

The Little Rock native has been making strides in supporting national and international clients transform their culture and perspectives since 2017 when she first opened The Diversity Booth. But she has been a believer in equal opportunity for everyone all her life.

Many will recognize Amber as an expert in diversity and inclusion from her widely appraised TED Talk, Cause of Death: Kind and Colorblind. Amber further deepened her status as a DEI thought-leader from her eye-opening Forbes articles and other written works across notable publications.

Her higher education experience has been key to her success. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology—precisely the studies that divulge historical treatment of people and examine closer the thinking behind behavior.

Even now, Amber is furthering her education toward a terminal degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in social justice at Adler University. This terminal degree will prime her as an influential and skilled expert in leading transformational change.

The faculty and staff at Adler easily recognized Amber’s social justice efforts and awarded her the John Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship, plus fully paid tuition for the remainder of her Ph.D. program.

Adding to her experience, Amber served as a DEI consultant for the largest academic research center in the state of Arkansas and contributed to many other social justice missions across higher education and health care fields.

Amber finds professional and personal fulfillment traveling to new cities and delivering inclusion-centered keynote addresses, motivational speeches, and guest lectures in an effort to disrupt and dismantle systems of oppression.

Yet, of all her accomplishments, there is only one that takes top place in her heart, that is her role as a mother. According to Amber, it is by far the most rewarding experience with immeasurable pay. Amber dedicates her life’s work to building a world where everyone’s childen are treated equally, and their “pursuit of happiness” will never be inhibited by hate.
